1. REPLACEMENT OF MISSING TEETH

Replacement of a missing tooth is of utmost importance because :

  • Helps restore and maintain the natural bite,
  • Prevents unnatural stress on teeth,
  • Prevents shifting and tilting of adjacent and opposing teeth,
  • Prevents further dental decay and gum disease and
  • Restores chewing function, improves speech and enhances smile.

Replacement of missing tooth/teeth can be achieved by the following ways :

Removable Partial/Complete Dentures :

Removable Partial/Complete dentures are one of the foremost ways of replacing missing natural teeth. Using gums as their primary support and using natural teeth (if present) as anchorage, these types of dentures are primarily used as a masticatory aid and for esthetic purposes.

Different types of dentures include :

  • Removable acrylic complete or partial dentures with acrylic or ceramic teeth,
  • Removable flexible complete or partial dentures,
  • Removable cast complete or partial dentures,
  • Removable overdentures on remaining natural teeth or buttoned / clipped on implants.

Bridges :

Bridges are crowns joined together in the numbers three or more. Bridges as the name suggests are placed in the patient’s mouth to replace one or more than one missing teeth. Bridges are basically a fixed teeth replacement alternative. It involves the support of the adjoining teeth by scientifically reducing the size of the adjoining teeth and placing crowns on them and suspending the missing tooth/teeth between them.

Dental Implants:

Dental implant is the latest, most advanced and a very safe method for an artificial replacement of a natural missing tooth or teeth made from biocompatible metal or material which is placed surgically into the jaw bone as a substitute.

Advantages of dental implants over other forms of teeth replacements:

  • Fixed teeth as compared to removable dentures,
  • Teeth adjacent to the missing teeth remain untouched as compared to bridges,
  • Restores the patients chewing capacity better than removable dentures,
  • They do not decay like natural teeth as in bridges,
  • Fairly easy to maintain as compared to conventional removable and bridge types of dental prosthesis and
  • Dental implants replace the missing teeth by virtue of function and esthetics.

Highly experienced doctors at Pooja Dent Care help you to provide this form of treatment procedures ensuring high end results and with utmost care.

2. ESTHETIC & COSMETIC DENTISTRY

Since the advent of tooth colored composite resin material and dental ceramics, dentistry has changed leaps and bounds. Introduction of esthetic dentistry could provide to the patients tooth colored fillings and crowns.

Smile Designing :

Now with the latest research and development, we at Pooja Dent Care are able to achieve a highly predictable and good long lasting smile with dental products that can be used for creating a beautiful set of teeth to make your smile very attractive. Not only it helps in boosting confidence but also aids in maintaining good hygiene in the oral cavity.

Teeth Whitening :

Good smile designing begins with teeth whitening. Teeth naturally are yellowish in color due to the dentin layer present in its structure. Teeth whitening process is a bleaching process which brings back the white colour of your teeth. Whitening of the teeth is carried out in three basic steps.

Instant Whitening: Teeth whitening procedure is performed on the patient in a single visit by application of the bleaching agent on the teeth and then activated by a chemical agent or visible light of a very high intensity. In a matter of minutes, drastic change in the colour of the teeth is observed.

Multiple Visit Whitening: Multiple visit teeth whitening is performed by the dentist by applying the bleaching agent under the doctors’ guidance for a couple of visits. The patient has to perform the rest of the procedure at home. The procedure allows the doctor to control the amount of the applications and the desired result is thus obtained.

Home Whitening: The home whitening dental procedure is performed entirely by the patient. Evaluation of the colour of the teeth is done prior to the treatment and the patient performs the entire bleaching process at home till the desired result is obtained.

We at Pooja Dent Care have incorporated tooth colored materials in our practice since the day we started. Now it has become an indispensable part of our and our patient’s lives. Esthetic procedures like closing gaps between teeth, restoring broken teeth, minor alignment of teeth by additive procedures have become very common.

3. ROOT CANAL TREATMENT WITH CROWN

Popularly, Root Canal Treatment (RCT) is known to the patients as “One treatment for all ailments” for decayed teeth. Dental decay progress can be restricted very effectively and with a greater predictability if treated in its early stages. Fortunately, RCT has now been refined over a period of years to a very highly sophisticated and predictable choice of treatment with a very high success rate.

RCT is performed in either single or multiple visits, in three to four steps depending on the condition of the tooth and after assessment of the damage occurred.

A crown is one of the most popular ways of securing a badly carious tooth or a tooth after a RCT. It distributes the load over the entire surface of the tooth, thus preventing fracture of the tooth to a great extent.

4. GUM DISEASES

One of the most neglected diseases is the diseases of the gums. These are relatively painless and do not disturb the normal life of the patient till they reach extreme proportions. Silent killer is what we dentists call them. Some of the common symptoms observed by the patients are bleeding from the gums on brushing or spitting with slight tooth mobility and redness in the gums with itching sensation associated with bad breath.

5. DENTAL SURGERIES

Various dental surgical procedures are meticulously carried out by the doctors at Pooja Dent Care to provide patients relief from their ailments like :

  • Surgical removal of tooth / tooth root,
  • Removal of impacted molars / canines,
  • Root apisectomies for non resolving post RCT periapical infections,
  • Complete surgical excision of granulomas and cysts in the jaw bones,
  • Bone decortication and operculectomy procedures to facilitate tooth eruption,
  • Alveoloplasties for denture patients etc.

6. TEETH STRAIGHTENING

We, at Pooja dent Care deliver to the patients a complete range of treatment options for getting their teeth aligned. Teeth alignment treatment starts at an age of twelve years but actually begins at the time of development of permanent teeth.

Dental straightening is done at three levels, Preventive, Interceptive and Corrective procedures. Proper care from ages three onwards may benefit the patient and may not require elaborate dental correction procedures. Teeth can be aligned by a large variety of dental products.

7. DENTISTRY FOR CHILDREN

Milk teeth need to be saved intact till they fall on their own at their specified time. Health of a child as a whole depends a lot on their chewing ability. Treating teeth problems in children is of utmost importance as they not only are used by the child for chewing purposes but are also responsible for the health, arrangement and strength of the permanent teeth. They are also an insight to the general health and well being of the child. Child as an adult cannot eat on decayed teeth. Just because they are going to fall off over a period of time and so does not require treatment is not true. Digestion by way of proper grinding of food improves health of the child.

At Pooja dent care special care is taken to make the parents understand the dental problems of their child and treat them.

8. DENTAL LASERS

Lasers in dentistry are gaining importance as their spectrum of use in various dental treatment procedures are increasing. The advantages of lasers as compared to the conventional therapies as claimed by the doctors who use lasers in their practice are :

  • Bloodless and sterile field,
  • No or very less need of antibiotics as the surgeries are carried out without touching the concerned area,
  • Wounds heal faster,
  • Little or no anesthesia required,
  • Less post operative discomfort,
  • Makes treatment more predictable.
